As in "snow hail." Yikes, it was bad in north seattle today. Fortunately, as I started heading south, it got better. I suspect my sister, heading north, was not so lucky.
But the point of this post is about the sky. About the bluish-black color lit up by the moon, drifting in and out of scudding clouds. About those clouds, alternately gray and white, defined by the moonlight. About the stars, twinkling in and out...
I call it a Peter Pan sky - "second star to the left, and straight on til morning" - a sky of fantasy and beauty and all that makes one just stop and stare.
